Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 5β9 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 220-0037. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 22 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded italian restaurants in Asheville.
Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Asheville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My wife and I went to Nana's recently and were really impressed with our experience. The wait staff were all friendly and extremely helpful in selecting a wine to have with our dinner. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and was large enough for my wife and I to share with a pasta for dinner. Will definitely be going back!

As a big fan of Finest Deli, I was incredibly excited to try Nanaβs! My husband and I went to Nanaβs and it did not disappoint!! I can always trust Finest to have a delicious and unique wine selection, and Nanaβs brought that same energy to its wine. Our server, Ruth, was knowledgeable on the wine and very thorough & attentive. The food options all looked to delicious from the menu, it was hard to pick! All of the pasta is made from scratch in house, so you know itβs good!! We got the porkchop, which was mind blowing!!!! I genuinely did know a porkchop could be this good (Iβm not even exaggerating). It came with a lovely arugula salad and lemon. It was somehow both rich and light at the same time. The tiramisu is divine and you must order it!!! The perfect was to end our meal. The vibes are immaculate, taper candles on the table, overhead lights are low. You have got to try Nanaβs!!!!

Wow, best meal ever!!!! The whole experience at Nanaβs from start to finish is absolutely amazing. The service and ambiance is perfection, the focaccia board is to die for, and the PASTA omg. Cooked to perfection, best flavor, and sooooooooo delicious! Highly highly recommend coming to finest, and the meal ended with birthday celebrations, a lemon olive oil cake and tiramisu that tastes just like tiramisu from Italy, GO here! And most definitely try the Spaghetti Chitarra alla norchina and spaghetti and meatballs π

My partner and I were excited to try this restaurant during our first visit to Asheville, given its strong reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell well short of expectations. After being told a table was ready for us around 7:30, we arrived on time and still waited about 15 minutes. The service issues continued after we were seated: ten minutes after placing our order for the Mezze Maniche alla vodka and mushroom lasagna, our server informed us both dishes were sold out. Because of this delay, our food didn't arrive until 8:30. When the food finally came, the Spaghetti Chitarrra alla Norcina was severely undercookedβhard and very difficult to swallow. To make matters worse, we later watched other customers who arrived much later than us successfully order and receive the Mezze Maniche alla vodka, which apparently wasn't sold out after all. To their credit, our server was kind enough to remove the unpalatable pasta from our bill when we addressed it, and the owner did speak to us as we were leaving. However, given the compounding issues with kitchen communication, portion sizes that felt quite small for the price point, and poor quality control, we unfortunately cannot re

Handmade pasta, great flavors, excellent service, tremendous value in a casual, friendly environment. Get the bread service. Their kale squash salad was over-the-top delicious. Great that they source mostly local foods and providers. (Lunches are great too.)
